Radio LondonWide is a London-based community internet radio station that began broadcasting on 7 February 2022. The station was originally launched as LondonWide Internet Radio by founders Mark West, John Kear, and Mark Getz.

Early beginnings

The station officially launched with a special opening show featuring guests including musician Lizzie Bing and former Big Brother contestant Carole Vincent. From the start, the aim was to create a community-focused online station serving listeners across London with music, chat, local news, and entertainment.

Rebrand to Radio LondonWide

In March 2024, the management committee changed the station’s name from LondonWide Internet Radio to Radio LondonWide. The rebrand reflected a broader identity and stronger community image for the station.

Programming and style

Radio LondonWide broadcasts a mixture of:

• Classic hits and modern music
• Community news and talk shows
• Decade-themed programmes from the 70s, 80s, and 90s
• Specialist shows including Greasepaint & Stage Lights and River2Cross Radio

The station promotes itself as “Connecting London Through Music & Community Vibes,” focusing on local voices and community engagement.
